Good hotel, I do not recomend their private car parking as suitable for only very very small cars and it is not near the hotel!
in the middle of tourist season the elevator was being renewed, over many days. toudh to go stairs with children and injury on leg
Overall I enjoyed my stay in the Hotel, the staff were very helpful, the breakfast was good, the maid service was very efficient and it was a good place to stay.
A lottle bit more preparation in my room would have made a big difference- the tv remote did not work, the tv is positioned so you cannot watch it from the bed (the angle is all wrong) and there were no instruvctions on how to set the safe. Minor niggles really and I am sure if I had mentioned it they would have been sorted but they did not really impact on my stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful we were greeted very nicely
The single room were small and I didn't like the idea of smoking rooms being on the same landing as non smoking
Nice location and splendid bar. Excellent breakfast. Great staff.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Very good breakfast in a bright and airy breakfast room. Free internet access. Location on coast tram route, a couple of stops from rail station, very close to shoppping area, casino and beach.
Single room small and fairly spartan. Shower/WC cubicle tiny, requiring considerable contortions. Impossible to dry off after shower through lack of room. Proximity to the nightspots of the Langestraat meant that I was awoken one morning at 4, another at 5 by noisy revellers on the street.
i liked the location and i liked the breakfast
i did not like the single bed as the rom was too small and the matress was not that comfortable-the room i stayed in is for a teenager not an adult.
Location and friendly staff, breakfast was excellent, good staff.
Bathroom was probably the smallest I have ever seen but still functional.
The only thinks I like was that the room was clean and it is very close to the see. Next day we moved in a different hotel
The staff could not help with any think they are helpless for different reasons(not because they are rut)and mainly because of the system. We could not have even a double blanket (we had 4 single beds on wheels in the room even though we supposed to have a double and a single) and being a couple we needed to put 2 of the singles together and of course we request a double blanket. There is not parking in front of the hotel you need to park on a side where in fact the actual parking places are suspended and that closed str is used for axes the car park underneath and if you miss it there is no other way or place to park to find the hotel there is so much construction work around the hotel You do not wont to know the hotel view only construction
Centrally located, close to shops and beach entrance
Hotel Du Parc is not a very friendly baby/child friendly hotel. There is no microwave to warm or clean baby bottles in the hotel. The joined restaurant Du Parc staff is very unfriendly per request to use their facilities. First time they complained, but helped us. Second time tehy refused, because it was busy? Only with help of reception lady the bottles were cleaned the second time. The entrance to the hotel is very narrow to enter with baby strawler and parking is in parking garage, difficult as when you carry luggage. There is no staff to help you with luggage.
I liked the typical cafe on the ground floor with good multi lingual waiters, old fashioned lift, and old fashioned service at the reception. All very good.
We were a party of 9 and as we travell together as a company we always score our accomadation. Two people were not happy with their rooms as one said it was too small, one said it smelt of drains. Out of ten the scores ranged from 4 to 7 no one giving top marks. If we used the hotel again we would have to check what rooms we would get. English Breakfast was not an English breakfast
It was very close to Kursaal theatre which was where we wanted to be
Lights in corridors on timers and coming out of lift or bedroom it was pitch black and we had to use a torch to find the push switch. Was a bit dangerous and if had been staying longer would probably have complained - there literally was no light spillage from anywhere
The excellent situation of the hotel near the beach and the shopping area. The breakfast buffet is good but pretty standard.
Double bed to small and a lot of street noise
travelling on the coastal tramway and visiting Ypre
Great location to all amenities, and the art deco bar/cafe was really nice
The hotel although in a very good location for shops and bars, was very noisy as a result and I found it hard to sleep at night. The dining room was very cramped and I had trouble moving around the breakfast bar in the middle of the room as the tables were too close to it making it difficult for people to move around and get breakfast. The furniture in my room was of an older style and although clean enough could have done with some refurbishment. The staff I felt, apart from the night porter and lady who checked me in, tended to ignore you when handing in the key, no aknowledgement or smile, and on checking out I felt that answering the phone while I was making a payment and leaving the hotel was a bit rude.
